Thoughts on deposits

So. Maybe we take a poll? I get texts from providers saying I mess things up by not requesting a deposit to go OUT to Dinner. I don’t entertain it because I know my worth and demeanor. I only have this in Memphis- everyone screams it’s a scam! Ok - I get it so many sketchy people in Memphis and around the world.
I’m not worried about gas money to drive, I’m not broke but I do like to look classy take time on my appearance because I would do that anyway on a regular day basis, but I try to go the extra mile when I go out to dinner. My point here- in Memphis especially I find I show up and there’s been a few times now it’s for nothing. I meet high class friends only. So I rarely have a problem with any of this out of town, but I what do you guys think about deposits?? Always a scam ? Or is it giving out your personal information? Are that many girls scamming people out here? Love to see the results of this poll ! Not upset just would love my friends to let me know what they think especially knowing how trustworthy I am. So happy to see all the new places in town. Just can’t believe there is only one Mall left !

I feel like it sucks for the ladies when y'all get stood up, but it also sucks for the guys when we get scammed too. Even recently, I had a regular ask to send her some money upfront (which I did) and now she has disappeared.

At this point, I think a lot of the guys avoid the ladies who have asked for deposits because they have gotten screwed over before.

There are a lot of legitimate ladies that ask for deposits, but there are also a lot of scammers or ladies that will just abuse the money upfront scenario.

At this point, I just avoid it entirely. I don't want to have the potential to lose any more money. Maybe I am jaded, but blame it on the ladies that have not honored their word.

The only real scenario I'd consider a deposit for is if I was requesting an outcall and the lady had to drive a good distance to see me. Then, I'd probably consider gas money.

Other than that, I don't do deposits anymore because of bad experiences.

That’s pretty much the way I see it and that was what really started my post was the fact that I get women contact me saying I am messing up the way of things should be, but like you said most of the time it’s on the girls end I will say I do love to travel so much the time when I go to different restaurants like Little Rock are all around Arkansas and I am doing out that they usually don’t have a problem with it and that’s understandable being that I drive up to two hours from places, I pretty much live in the middle of Little Rock and Memphis so regardless, it’s kind of easy to get across the whole state and Tennessee to about Nashville

I fo not book dates when asked to send money in advance. I am wiling to have a call on the phone to verify and even willing to have cash discretely available at the start of the date. But when asked to pay money in advance of the meeting, I avoid that.

When I was new to the hobby, I did a deposit with a well known provider who had plenty of good reviews. Everything went great with that. Since that time, I have done a deposit for a few ladies who ghosted me. Currently, I avoid ladies who ask for a deposit. That may change given the lady, reputation, and other factors, but it really depends.
