First of all your premise isn’t proven. No one knows if the Iranians could complete a nuclear weapon any time soon.
But to answer your question, I wouldn’t have listened to Netanyahu when he advocated for this attack.
It appeared that Netanyahu was leading Trump around by the nose.

...and just like that, the Strait of Hormuz is closed again. MAGA always counting chickens before they hatch. Way to go, trump. You're exactly the type of fucking "deal maker" who can bankrupt six casinos.

I don’t think hope and playing a game of chicken with Iran was the way to go. If you were wrong, millions of lives could have been lost.
By mid-2025, Iran had accumulated ~441 kg of uranium enriched to 60%—enough for roughly 10 nuclear weapons if further enriched to 90% weapons-grade.
Independent experts and IAEA data showed Iran could produce one bomb's worth of weapons-grade uranium in less than a week (or days) using its advanced centrifuges at Natanz and Fordow, with material for multiple bombs shortly after. Combined with its missile delivery systems and past weapons-related research, this put Iran at a dangerous "breakout" threshold where a political decision could yield a crude nuclear device in weeks to months.
You were willing to take that gamble with the world’s security by placing trust in the Iranian government?

Actually an argument can be made for rational deterrence. Mutually assured destruction being the primary example.
I don’t believe that the Iranian government would ever use a nuclear weapon against Israel or any other nuclear power or ally of a nuclear power. For all the same reasons that we haven’t seen one used since the forties. It would result in Tehran being a smoking hole in the ground.

That’s the craziest thing I’ve read in a while.
Your heroes from yesterday including the Clintons and Obama disagreed with you. They were against Iran getting a nuclear weapon.
Here’s a snippet that says they were correct and you are very wrong.
“Over the last 20 years (~2005–2025), Islamist (jihadist) terrorists — radicalized Muslims — were responsible for the vast majority of global terrorist attacks and deaths. Fondapol recorded ~64,000+ Islamist attacks and ~243,000 deaths from 2005 to April 2024 (out of their total 66,872 attacks and 249,941 deaths since 1979).
In recent years, the top four Islamist groups (Islamic State & affiliates, JNIM, TTP, al-Shabaab) alone caused 3,869 deaths (70% of global total) in 2025 and 4,204 deaths (majority share) in 2024.
Non-Muslim perpetrators (far-right, far-left, separatist, etc.) accounted for a small minority of global attacks and an even smaller share of deaths.”

I think it’s quite rational actually. Even terrorists know that if the nuclear option is ever used it changes things forever. The factors necessary to get a state actor (which is what would be required) to actually use a nuclear weapon would be almost impossible to happen.
It’s not just the guy in charge it’s everyone else who would have to agree with the decision and to actually make it happen that makes it much harder to accomplish. Just my opinion.

One thing's for sure... trump isn't calling the shots.
Nothing he's said about this war has been true. Remember when he "won" this war, like a month ago? Remember when Iran "capitulated" 48 hours ago?
Yeah, me neither.

You have a religion built on converting the world to Islam by whatever means necessary, with a fantasy of 72 virgins waiting for them upon death.
Tactics including violence/terrorism have been used over and over again, and you now want to give Islam controlled governments nuclear weapons.
Good grief.

All religions have delusional fantasies for what awaits people after death. False promises are what give religion a following. And "converting the world" has definitely been a Christian thing for centuries now.
Anyway, Iran didn't "capitulate" and there's been no "progress". Just more lies from everyone involved on both sides.
The Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.
trump gave Iran a "deal" that allows them to charge $2 million for every tanker that passes through. Absolute lunacy. It's like he wants Iran to have nukes or something.

Grim new economic numbers highlight how trump is losing leverage against Iran
The oil shock created by the ongoing log jam in the Strait of Hormuz pushed inflation up 0.9% in March alone, which was the highest one-month jump in nearly four years.
Inflation is now at 3.3% on an annualized basis, which is the highest rate since trump became president.
The price of gasoline rose 21.2% in March, which was a record.
The much-watched University of Michigan consumer sentiment index — a measure of how confident Americans are in the economy — just hit a record low, in data stretching back to 1952.
https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/10/polit...-iran-leverage
In short, trump just fucked up the world economy and got nothing in return.
Way to go, MAGA. The American people will be "thanking you all" come November.

We were told in October that those nuclear ambitions were obliterated. How can something that's obliterated come back from the dead? There's no doubt about the weirdness of these heretics and their virgins n martyrdom ideas are ridiculous, but Trump needs to start being straight with Americans. If you destroy all the resources and ambition, and Tulsi Gabbard says there is no proof of resurrection of that ambition, here we are at a crossroads of lies or exaggerations. Regardless Trump has yet to prove or tell the truth about Iran ambitions and let dumbass Kegsbreath destroy all these resources without thinking this thing through.
Surcharges for safe passages is not only stupid, it's never gonna be able to stand up for long. It only blows up costs and inflation. And let's not forget the reparations that Iran is asking for against the USA and Israel.
Almost seems like the idea was to just shoot off Trump's authoritarian mouth and some tomahawks. Cause near as I can tell, killing the people who you want to negotiate with you is a bad way of negotiating except in the movies.
Maybe Donnie the Felon thinks this is a movie or another dumb show he was made to look powerful on?
Really he's shown just how thoughtless and short sighted this entire administration is!
Sadly Yeah...that's it. The world and Markets are all in agreement that he's done nothing but create instability and crisis

I remember the guy in October 2024 saying he would make lowering prices his first priority and saving money for America. He's done nothing of the sort. He's raised the cost of every good, gasoline and made markets jittery as a bookkeeper on his 10th cup of coffee. Add on the murder of Americans in the name of ICE and it's nothing but a destruction of any and every norm. From the Whitehouse and Groceries, a word Trump made up, and you have an administration who has lost the trust of 80% of America.
What exactly do you trust Trumpy to actually do?
For me, it's to create chaos and breaking promises daily.
Watching him send the trio of Witkoff,Kushner and Vance is like sending Larry, Moe and Curly to solve one of the most rubic-cube tenacious issues, which ARE the largest self-created in the middle east in 50 yrs.
As a reminder -Trump said he could solve wars in a few days like in Gaza, or Ukraine or Russia....all that bluster and Bravado...and the reality is a giant fucking turd. Nada no solutions, just broken promises.
But lots of Threats of genocidal war crimes...WTF?
25th amendment time!
The BLUE wave is gonna be a mother fucker in November
