Couple points:
This was 1788 and of course could not possibly apply to today. Second, you can try which ever way to slice this apple, the fact remains that mass shooting and crazy murder rate is a USA thing and only a USA thing. The rest of the planet doesn't kill citizens by gun at anywhere close to the level we do here. Also the UK for example has very low killing rates and their citizens for the most part do not own a gun and surprise, they are not slaves of their government.

Incredibly incorrect.

Most mass shooters don't come with a neat little partisan label attached. A lot of them are driven by personal grievance, mental instability, domestic chaos, or some ugly mix of all three. So anyone pretending there's a clean red-vs-blue spreadsheet for all mass violence is overselling it.

But if we're talking about ideologically motivated violence, the numbers are not remotely ambiguous. Right-wing extremists account for the overwhelming majority of domestic terrorism deaths. Left-wing extremists account for less than 5%. That's not spin. That's the dataset.

And a fun little extra: the Trump DOJ quietly removed the study showing exactly that from its website in September 2025. The data, inconveniently, stayed the same. They just decided the easiest way to handle it was to stop letting people see it.

So using your logic the Constitution doesn't apply to today??

But are they truly free from oppression?

Over 12,000 people were arrested in the UK in 2023 for online speech, including social media posts, often under the Communications Act 2003 and Malicious Communications Act 1988.

he exchange is real. The spin is the problem.

Tennessee Republicans said out loud that they redrew the map to maximize partisan advantage. That was the point. The fact that the redesigned seat might now elect a Black Republican doesn’t magically erase the stated intent; it just means the gotcha meme is substituting outcome for analysis.

In gerrymandering cases, intent matters. And here, the people who drew the map were kind enough to document theirs themselves.

But yes, by all means, let the meme do the legal thinking.
