I think the message is simple, the gals that come down and treat us with respect will not only get respect but a lot of business. The gals like you and your friend that view us as fresh meat will be treated accordingly. This issue cuts both ways. Treat me fairly and I'll return the gesture with interest. Austin can be a goldmine for any of the gals who take this lesson to heart.

Will the prices now be raised on the Dallas clients, because after all they will have to pay for gas driving from Austin to Dallas.

Or is transportation cost just an excuse to raise their price in Austin?

one thing many fail to mention is you picked one of the worst weeks to come here, Graduation week, many have left town, many have kids at home now, ..

Also you should never expect to hit the 'client Lottery' on your first visit., that is foolish to think you are going to do that,. why cant a traveling Provider come to town without pissing and moaning that she did not break the bank??? it does not make you look good and frankly you have cost yourself even more business in the Austin area and perhaps in other cities too, no one likes a whiner.


Rome was not built in a day so why expect to be booked solid when coming to a new town??

more to the main problem for the duo than price? Lack of notice. Posted on the 23rd, left on the 25th. A post on the 16th and one again on the 23rd and I bet they would have been booked solid. Just saying. I missed out by checking the boards once every few days.

+1 SnakeEyes. Rate was not an issue for me. The late notice was. I even tried to schedule with both KayKay and JJ but they had already departed our fair city. Posting the day of, or one day before arrival means you will only get bookings from the guys who check in here daily. I dare say that is a small percentage. Had I known a week before via an announcement ad the week previous, I would have not missed your visit, and would have seen both of you at least once each. No need to explain pricing, but you might consider trying it again with one or two prep ads the weeks prior, and accept pre-bookings. You may get enough bookings in advance to be confident in making the trip. There was certainly no lack of interest, just timing issues for me.

It is not fair to compare interest to Dallas where you are a known quality, regular advertiser, with the time invested to develop regular clientele. You gave Austin one chance with no notice, priced out of the norm for the market in a city that doesn't yet know you. PM me when you return, give me some notice, and I'll commit to an appointment right now.

Arriving with little or or no notice during graduation week in a college town is like showing up Christmas eve and then complaining about bookings. Just bad timing, but I wouldn't have expected you to have foreseen that unless you were currently students yourselves. School schedules are rarely noted unless they affect you directly.

It is not lost on me that this thread started as a simple thank you, and I'd like to return the thank you. Thank you for giving us a try. Hopefully the expedition provided some points to use for making your next visit a great success, whether here or another lucky city, Thank you, pretty lady.

Would love to know about LOCATION... where is the Best Location for providers to stay? I only stay in 4+ star hotels, maybe location has something to do with travelers experiences.
