To me, the money is not the issue. I work in the oil industry, which means I deal with gigantic, fucking enormous assholes everyday. I know everbody has to deal with jerks at work, even providers. (maybe more so). So, ironicaly, I do pay for the time. To just have some fun and not deal with reality for an hour or two. All that being said, maybe 5G per year.

Too much I would say close to 10k but that does include travel. I'm slowing down for sure but still want to have some fun.

I have never kept track of the money! But I know what my budget is! My ex-wife use to cost me $72,000.00 + or - per year. That’s my hobby budget! I try to maintain an average. I see ONE provider per day FIVE days per week, 50 weeks out of the year. ( Everyone deserves a two week vacation!) So in order to take time off I have doubled and tripled in a day or hobby on Saturday & Sunday! So when I complaining about my batting average, that’s because for whatever reason, sessions didn't work out due to scheduling conflicts or no shows! So I would guess $60,000.00+ Batter Up! |

you know when your enjoying something you really shouldnt try to put a price on it because then you tend to re-examine everything and you tend to loose the spontanaity of it.I dont set a certain amount of times a month i see a provider ..i just do it ..like Nike ..
However i like it when i like it but i can say its in the 5 figures at the end of every year but then again every hobby is expensive from hunting to fishing to golfing.
The question is ..do you enjoy it and if you do then its worth it.
Look at the money people spend a yr on cigarettes and i think i would say its worse for you than a provider..lol

Money can't buy you love, but it sure can buy you a good time. I try not to dwell on it. I probably have spent enough to equip my house with several top end flat screen TVs. That's all I'll say.

So true! I probably spend way too much on my hobbies, but they do give me some enjoyment. Your right sometimes when you think about it, and what you spent on your hobbies it does take the spontaneity out of it. I have a friend who flies those miniature helicopters, damn he puts thousands of dollars into that hobby. One of his 2000 dollar heli's crashed the other day too!

Thanks for making me feel better sir. I spend more that I should but not 60K. Never really thought about it until this thread but a quick calculation brought me to into the 5 figures per year.
