Good luck, peace and statehood will come to the Palestinian people when they learn to love their children more than they hate the Jews and Israel ( as exemplified by your choice of words). They need to negotiate, not look for a shortcut. The Palestinian people elected Hamas, Hamas is part of their government. They are a recognized terror organization, by the US and many other countries. Who in their right mind would recognize a state that sponsors terror and calls for the destruction of another country or people.

I guess I am a cock-smoking supporter
I'd rather support cock-smoking ( whatever that means) than terror and the killing of woman and children not in self defense, but in cold blood for political gains. It hasn't worked for decades and it certainly won't work now..

Not with any of theR candidates , the D candidates or POS Obama nor Congress. (I don't support him, but he really is not a POS); he is the leader of a free country, like Israel
The Democratic ( as in Democracy, not political party) process is how the Palestinian people will gain statehood, not by using terror and certainly not by electing terrorists to run their government.

You are aware the Palestinians were burning US flags yesterday? And in return they want a state ? I didn't see any Palestinian flags being burned on Ben Yehuda Street. Therein lies the difference between a peaceful people and a people who desire to kill Americans and Jews.

Go fish

No reason to bring gfe in to this thread

There is a fundamental difference between GFE and SOB. GFE doesn't support political change via terror , he wants Obama peacefully and democratically removed from office. SOB however wants those who kill for political preferences to be awarded a gift or his post would focus on ridding Hamas, not calling Obama and Israel names. That is the exact reason they ( Palestinians) will not get statehood. I myself have at times tossed the name Hussein in to my references to Obama but I too want him elected out, I don't support a terror group to bring about change on Pennsylvania Avenue. Neither does GFE and neither do you.

If someone supports the Palestinian government than they support Hamas as they run it. ' You are either with us or against us' and as much as you may dislike him, myself, yourself and GFE are all united on the side of peace.

Which ironically is the word Shalom.

Respectfully,

Shalom to you to this morning |

Aw hell, I wasn't going to debate you closed minded idiots, but... Israel is paying 'SETTLERS" "10,000 PER, TO BUILD outside their borders in disputed territory. They stop Palestinian ambulances at border checkpoints. They kill Palestinian women a children. (It goes both ways, admit it.) We support Israel to keep a presence in the arab world, give Palestine statehood, a minor concession to apease some hatred. I don"t support Israels right to exist either. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Aghganistan produce terrorists that are a direct threat to the US. pART OF THE 2,000 YEAR CONFLICT between Israel and Pakistan is Pakistan fending off Israels occupation. Excuse the random capslock, my hardened, swollen fingers are more suited to actual work than the office keyboards. Go ahead and attack that too... i earn my keep with knowledge, managing skills, and ACTUAL WORK.

The Palestinians won't have statehood until they realize that they are simply puppets being used by Iran and other Muslim Countries. Let's take a look at just some of the gems Ahmadinejad has spouted:1. The Iranian news agency Khabar quoted Ahmadinejad as telling Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh that Iran views the support of the Palestinian people as part of its religious and national duty and that Iran will stand behind the Palestinian nation "until the big victory feast which is the collapse of the Zionist regime."
In a phone conversation between the two leaders, the Iranian president said that the continued Hamas resistance against Israel and the group's achievements would always be "a source of pride for all Muslims."
 2. "The pretext (Holocaust) for the creation of the Zionist regime (Israel) is false ... It is a lie based on an unprovable and mythical claim," he told worshippers at Tehran University at the end of an annual anti-Israel "Qods (Jerusalem) Day" rally.
"Confronting the Zionist regime is a national and religious duty."
3."this regime (Israel) must be eliminated from the pages of history"

Since Israel's independence, Muslim countries surrounding Israel have used the Palestinian cause to cover their true intentions....to rid the region of Israel.

Until the Palestinians recognize and accept this fact and seek an independent solution to peace with Israel, statehood for them will not be possible.

I think we got your point about not wanting to "debate" when you accused people who support Israel as being "cock-smoking supporters".

Of course anyone who doesn't agree with you are then "close minded idiots". Hmmm, O.K. SOB, way to live up to that name! |

To be blunt and direct SOB,
the other countries that support 'Palestine' don't give two shits about them, it's their common bond to their already existing hatred of each other, it is the only thing they agree on, to hate the Jews.

Hypothetically speaking, if every settler left today, the lines were re-drawn to pre-1967; the Palestinians would not rest until they pushed the Israelis west in to the sea. Give a hand, they want an arm. Nothing will appease them.

And Saudi Arabia in one day could piss out the $$ needed to support all the medical, educational and whatever needs the Palestinians have. But they don't. Why ?

Because deep down they don't care about them, its all PR for them to pretend.

If the ambulances were not stopped at border check points then every damn one of them would become a truck bomb looking for victims. You can't be this stupid.

Arafat pulled that same shit, ambulances used as weapons, much like the terrorists used airplanes on 9/11; ironically on 9/11 they cheered in Gaza and passed out candy to children as the Towers and several thousands came crashing down, a tradition practiced there for celebratory times.

Pictures of Osama Bin Laden were carried through the streets with cheering crowds, these people deserve a state? And control of water plants and an airport? Not going to happen.

and than they come crying to the U.N.

				 Israel will be no longer

I think I've established a reasonably good record for my occassional predictions.
Obama's veto ran counter to declared US policy advocating for a two-state solution. It revealed that in actuality US policy is determined by whatever Palestinian Arab entity the Israeli government will condone, and that changes with internal Israeli politics.

However the veto actually served the interests of an eventual solution, as the Arab state which was proposed would have to have settled for a two-state outcome which the US has been publicly heralding. Doing that would have made a single-state solution impossibe.

Within fourty years Israel as we know it will be dissolved for these reasons:

1.Demographics within Israel are such that Jews will be a minority.

2.The replacement of US-client Arab regimes such as Mubarak's means that subsequent ones will be non-cooperative with Israel. As I predicted regarding Egypt, the new leadership there is opposed to the 1978 Treaty, and is aiding the population of Gaza. As the Egyptian government progresses there will be a hardening against Israel, and this will be the case in other new Arab governments.

3.The uncompromising actions of the Likud regarding settlements, attacks on aid convoys, broader reluctance to negotiate, etc. is hardening all opinion against Israel. Likud will remain on top in Israel and this will accelerate the process.

Unfortunately this process may involve violence. The frustration levels are so high that people don't know what else to do. The only hope of avoiding this would be if the new Arab governments could launch some meaningful diplomatic initiatives earlier, rather than later.

However in the end what will result will be a single secular state in Palestine in which Jews and Arabs, muslims and non-muslims, co-exist together as equals. The US can play a positive role by helping to suppress the ambitions of any extremists, muslim or other, throughout this.

A 2000 year war between Pakistan and Israel? Wrong.

If you want to use past wars as your standard, there should be no Palestinian state. Israel has won every war they have participated in since 1949. The fact that there still is an area that could be transformed into a state shows Israel is willing to negotiate a final truce. They will not as long as attacks against civilians are launched from their territory.Quote:
