If you were outed (hobbyist or provider) how would you handle it?

Every time I got outed for being in the hobby, it was by someone else that was hobbying... otherwise, how would've they known that I was hobbying? In the military, it's bound to happen... go to an area with a red light district and you'll find a whole bunch of military people there.

Even in Iraq, there were instances of Air Force women running business on the side, by being providers, for male service members in the major FOBs.

We have an unwritten rule when it comes to this... what happens on deployment stays in the deployment. People knew better than to violate that.

I dont think much would change for me in the long run. People around me already have an idea that I am doing *something* they would consider illegit. People think I strip or deal drugs and one girl asked if I was an escort.

I have a dayjob, and I work two maybe 3 days a week. Not only do I not ask for more hours, I get mad when I get more. I have been outed and IT DIDN''T MATTER BECAUSE MY FAMILY KNOWS.

I don't have kids(if I did I would choose another line of work-not passing judgement or anything, that's just me) and I have a very limited amount of family that I'm EXTREMELY close to. Before I "came out" to them as a provider I was a nervous wreck and terrified that they would find out via something or someone else...but I came clean about 8 months or so ago and and now I feel sooooo much better. I guess I'm blessed in that I've never given a fuck what people I don't know or respect think about the way I live MY life.

It's our life. Our choices. My family accepts this job but they worry about my safety a lot. That's the worst part of being "out"...I feel like I added some stress to the lives of people I love because now when we talk on the phone even if it's just a normal, everyday conversation and I'm not about to go on a date or anything they always end the call with "I love you very much. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Bye." like because I'm a provider getting ready to go to sleep something dangerous is going to happen to me. lol.

I couldn't lie to the people I love anymore, it's just not in my nature...I don't think I'm doing anything bad or I wouldn't be doing it in the first place. Sometimes I regret that I make my family worry to death though.

I would be horrified and ready to *show that person I value my future and my privacy, perhaps physically* if I got outed on purpose at school or in the general public though.

There are a few people I've ran across in the hobby that I don't care for(that's bound to happen anywhere) but I would never sink that low as to out them(give their real name or info that could quickly and easily turn up their real name) to anyone.

Outting is an activity done and threatened by the scum of the earth...and people that aren't very creative.

I just found out that a person I know in my private life is a provider. I saw her picture on an escort site. Do I tell her I saw the ad? i wouldn't mind taking scheduling a session but I am not sure if private and hobbyist life should mix

I wouldn't do it. You'll probably make her feel really uncomfortable and awkward.
Then again, it depends on how you go about it. I don't know if you're the spiteful type that would blackmail or not but I would suggest skipping over the ad.
