Now why am I not surprised by your comment?

Johnny Cash's father apparently originally named him Sue. It toughened him up.

There is also an old urban myth you may have heard about 2 kids named

Orongelo (orange jello)
and
Lemongelo (lemon jello)

Would getting a vasectomy from Dr. Dick Chopp give you a slightly uneasy feeling?

Yes, that's his real name:

And what were this football player's parents thinking when they named him?

Default What were they thinking?

My grandfather was among 12 siblings. 8 made it to adulthood. My great grand parents gave each child both a male and female name, I guess to cover the bases.
So, my grandfather was named Sue. Just 2 others that I can recall:

I met my Aunt Willie several times.
I met Uncle Cleo once.

Nope, not Arkansas, but it was Alabama.

EW - PM me with your real name. I won't share.

There is a guy in SA that is named Weldon Rumproast III, I mean the first one is bad, but to do it 3 times is cruel and unusual punishment.

Pretty funny story-

My half sister used to work for the health department in Mexia, TX. She would tell me all the time how Hispanic families that didn't speak English, would come in complaining that the hospital named their babies for them and they wanted them changed!

The name was always Female for girls and Male for boys. (Rhymes with Tamale)

A guy was named "Joe Shit", he went before a judge
to get his name changed. The judge said that he could
understand why he wanted a name change and what
would he like to change it to? He said I want my name
changed to "Jack Shit" because I am tired of people
say to me "hay Joe what do you know".

There is a story in the Freakanomics book about designer names (such as Lexus) or unusual names for people. One example referenced a name given to a girl. The footnote in the book begins with "A Girl Named Shithead..." In the audiobook the author pronounces it as SHUH-teed.

I have a cousine named Saline. Like the solution you put in your eyes. Her sister's name is Nolita-like "Lolita" but not.

Wow. I'm fairly certain we know the same guy! He used to come in a club that I worked at, all the time. I didn't believe him on the name thing until he whipped out his license. This was many, many moons ago but I always remembered that Dick Head. Nice guy!!
