I'll be excited enough to watch them play for every one so don't feel too bad. Love me some Chiefs.

You know years ago I lost faith in them because of King Carl. While we haven't brought in a QB, that was on their last leg recently we have passed up so much talent that it should be a crime. If this team were to do anything I would probably think of the moive Major Leauge set to football.

Looks like we might get to see Payton playing at Arrowhead this season. If only for one game. That is if he's healthy. $90m is a lot to turn down. I take it the Jesus quarterback is not feeling the love.

How impressive, we picked up Brady Quinn as the QB the Chefs promised would compete with Cassell. WOW! I am underwhelmed, although Quinn mite be better than Palko, maybe. They did do one thing right though, picking up Eric Winston from Houston at offensive right tackle.

Brady Quinn, really, oh boy, I am excited ......... Cassell is our QB folks, thats not going to change unless he gets hurt, Pissoli is not going to admit his mistake in signing Cassell. But I would have rather had Campbell than Quinn, this signing is a serious joke.

I got a laugh out of the report that Quinn supposely took a less deal, to be with KC rather than Denver.

Hell, this guy couldn't even get on the field when they were trying to run off, what's his name...that they cut and ended up in KC last year.

And let's face it, nobody in current managemt in Denver wanted Tebow...but they still started him over this clown.

This guy has Todd Collins written all over him

But at least this year, they did sign some interesting free agents....so that's a step in right direction

Wish they could have kept Carr, but can't blame Chiefs (or Carr)...as the Cowboys have way over paid him.

I think Quinn is going to surprise us, he hasn't really had a good shot yet. What blows my mind is Peyton signing with the donkeys. Going to a division that has the Chargers and Romeo Crennell. That's two big weaknesses for him in one division. This guy isn't going for a ring, he's going for a cush contract.

Totally agree! It's not like he signed a cap friendly contract. $96 mil? Geez.

I was wondering for a while if they would go after Tebow. Just to snag his fan base for more $$$.

And yes, I don't think he has the skills to last in the NFL.

Well as a lifelong Broncos fan, I'm not all that sure about the wisdom of signing Manning. Sure, he's an outstanding QB, but how long will we have him for? He's past his prime, at best we'll get 5 seasons out of him. I just don't see the wisdom in investing such a hefty pricetag into a QB who's performance and health are questionable. If he wins a Super Bowl for us, great, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am with you on that. He potentially improves the QB position while they develop a replacement, if he can stay healthy. However, he costs so much that they may not have enough money to surround him with the overall talent they need to win a Superbowl. Time will tell, but it is a win-now strategy and short window.
