CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Fire crews battled a two-alarm fire at a Clarence home that broke out early Sunday morning.

The flames began about 9:30 a.m. The home on Sawmill Road reportedly belongs to John Valby, a comedian who goes by the name "Dr. Dirty." Valby is known for his raunchy performances.

Firefighters tell News 4 the home is a total loss, with damage estimated at $500,000.

Just saw this report on CH4 who said this is the second fire on his property recently. Makes you wonder if some 'religious types' have an ax to grind with "Dr. Dirty".....lol

long time ago I went to Penny Arcade to see Dr Dirty with a few guys and providers. had a blast.

on thing about seeing him play. at start gender about 50/50. one song and puff half the girls gone. left and still there where keepers. just sayin

He's been around a long time. Used to see him a lot at the Red Balloon nightclub that used to be at Colvin and Sheridan in the 70s. It was a blast. He was funny as hell. Took some girls I was dating there and they loved him to. There's a Rite Aid there now. Guess he did well for himself over the years. There are lots of his clips on YouTube.

He liked to hit on girls in the audience. So maybe he may have pissed off someone. Years ago he hit on one of my dates but we just laughed it off.

my frat at Syracuse used to sponsor "Dr D" every spring as a fund raiser for a children's charity.... nothing better than watching drunk sorority girls shake their groove thing topless/nude on a stage whilst the good Dr D plays his songs...

John lives or lived just down the street from me .He is a great neighbor and an asset to the community. A very charitable guy that at times remains invisible but at others is right out there with the rest of the good people . One of my favorite things that John does is in the spring on a nice day He will go for a drive in this contraption (I think it is built on a V W chassis) it is very colorful and looks like a parade float up and down the street playing music. I have pictures of it I will try to post .
At any rate weather or not his style is appealing this was a tragic event for John and his family.

Back around high school I got the "Dr Dirty in Pixie Land" album. Laughed so hard I had an asthma attack and thought I cracked a rib LOL

There is a benefit in Sept. at the Adams mark in buffalo if You go to his website there are more details there. Now that I think of it what more appropriated gathering place for a M&G. Any thoughts on that?
