I do not post very much but I feel the need to add my opinion to this particular thread.

I believe in freedom of speech. I believe that every person has the right to voice their opinions regardless of how ignorant and myopic they may be. I also believe that a lady has EVERY RIGHT to not see someone that she is not comfortable with.

Having said that, I really get tired of reading this drivel. For the African American hobbyists like myself that have been doing this for a while and have NEVER shorted a lady and try to treat all providers with the utmost respect, posts like the original one are a slap in the face.

What you don't realize is that because of the negative stereotypes, many "established" African American hobbyists go out of their way to be on time, clean, respectful and make sure that they provide the correct donation. We want to enjoy the company of you wonderful ladies (of all races) just as much as the next guy.

If you look at most of the alerts, whether they be black, white or green, you will find that most are due to lack of proper screening moreso than race, creed, color or national origin. All money is not good money.

For all of the NBA providers, or providers who will jump to conclusions based on race, PLEASE PLEASE put NBA in your advertisements or showcase. That way, all of us who do not fit your criteria can avoid you at ALL COSTS. I never even want to entertain the thought of a lady who has preconceived notions about my character just because of my race.

And to the AAs who are tired of these kinds of situations, please remember that there are plenty of us out there who would not even have considered skin color when there seemed to be a miscommunication. Hell, a man who hobbies that frequently, has that many provider OKs, and who was a gentleman on our date-- I personally would have overlooked the "mistake", had there actually been one made.

i agree as well, i had a gentleman email me last week and asked me if i book with "blacks" that had my antennas up already,,, so i respond saying i will book with anyone i can screen he replies back,,, "GOSH! That's too bad! I don't see girls that see blacks!

I always take things in that I read and hear with a grain of salt because my grandma said to every story there is his side, her side, and somewhere in the mix is the truth - you never will know for sure what that truth is, so always throw caution into the wind. By nature I always tend to play devils advocate and try to see things from another point of view, look at the picture through another persons eyes before attempting to draw a conclusion. IMO it's still here to let everyone see Kelly's SELF POSTED ALERT.

She chose to put it here. She chose her words. She's had ample time to retract her accusations of being shorted and to apologize for her awesomely bad behaviour. She chose to publicly humiliate a good guy.
