Why not just advertise on ECCIE? It's one-stop-shopping for ads, ISOs, alterts, reviews etc. This is a private site. Johnny Do-Good won't bother us here (much)
BP has so many fakes and the girls who post ads every 10 minutes drive me nuts. Don't get me wrong - I have used BP for years. Don't want to see it go away, but I tend to only see providers who are members of ECCIE anyway, regardless if they have BP ads or not.

I'll break it down for ya.
1. Not everyone knows about ECCIE. If you limit yourself to just ECCIE, you're missing out not only as a provider, but as a hobbyist too. That's like going to the same restaurant day after day. Variety is the spice of life, live it up.
2. This isn't a private site and yes, LE is all over it and will continue to be.
3. There are fakes on every site, no matter what site it is...there will always be fakes on there. Bait 'n switch happens on all the major sites too. There's no fool proof way of escaping one of the many bad sides to the hobby.
4. The one mistake that BP has made is allowing providers to move their ads to the top of list or allow the same ad to be posted 3 or 4 times a day. Girls who do that only mean one thing......hard up and that isn't a good mix in the hobby.

I was just wondering how much these ads cost on BP. I see some ads posted multiple times a day and there is a trend for some of the ads to have 10 pictures and take up two complete screens. Are these people paying a fortune for these? If they are, the ads must be paying dividends to continue submitting them.

The ads only cost $2 a piece. They used to be $5 until about a month ago.
I move my ad up to the top when I post because I don't feel like coming up with new material every day. ::shrugs::
PLUS...there are soooo many girls posting on there now because of the CL fiasco I don't think it matters how many times you post a day. You're still just one of the masses of females trying to get noticed. You post an ad and an hour later you're ad is already halfway down the page. It's a crazy and competitive site. That's why I don't limit myself to BP or ECCIE. I like to make myself available to different people. I'm not a "site snob". LOL.

Thanks for the info Allie. I would think if they charged more they would both make more money and keep out all the rif raf, althought I'm sure you don't want that to happen. For $2 I might put up a fake ad just for the entertainment value to see how many responses I would get. I was thinking the cost would be more in-line with the ads that were/are in the Pitch magazine ($35 for just a couple lines). A friend of mine that was a provider use to have me call in her ad for her because she didn't have a credit card. That was years ago and I can't beleive I was so stupid as to have my name all over her business. Things were different then and no one really seemed to worry about LE looking into the hobby.

To bad you don't travel to Emporia/Wichita area I would love to meet the one and only beautiful Allie Cat! Meow

It would be funny for a guy to post their own ad, make it believable. See how many requests you get and how guys request appts. Then see yourself pop up in The Requests & ISO section. :-)

Hey you Kansans, If Brownback gets elected your next governor, he'll take the hobby on and fight tenaciously. He's been in all those self righteous Senate and D.C. prayer and prayer breakfast groups and was funded by big money from the religious right. I'm not against those groups for the purposes of prayer, but dwelling into our personal lives is none of their business. Just thought I'd throw that out to you over there for your info and thoughts. Also, he'll go after strip clubs if you're into that.
Cheers,
N2

Isn't that what you were complaining about earlier? The 95% fakes and scams on BP. Nothing like wasting people's time.

I don't think Backpage will knell to the AG's as Craigslist did. For one Craigslist is a NPO (non profit orginazation) and their tax status could be a stake which is a big deal for them and AG's can hold that over their head. Backpage on the otherhand is a well structured series of (for profit) corporations all owned by a holding corporation called Village Voice Inc. out of New York and they have limited their liabilty by the structure of their corporations. If you sue the Pitch in KC you can only hold them liable for the assets of the operation in KC which more han likely has no real assets. The corporate structure is well planned to protect any real assets of their mother company Village Voice from being attacked in court.

Well, good luck with your research and I'm sure the guys would be so happy to know you're willing to waste their time all for your entertainment.
