I love dogs! Really, I don't see a possible thing *not* to love about dogs, except when they roll in stinky things and expect you to be proud of them for it (they do it to mask their scent, so they can hunt better. Genius! Yet stinky...). They are like humans, but better, as they never feel the urge to mislead or lie on a larger scale, unless they have gotten into the trash or realize that the chicken they killed was actually a neighbors pet. They will always apologize for their wrongs if you call them on it. Try getting a cat or a girlfriend to swallow their ego like that? Dogs are clearly the most supremely awesome

My cat is on my lap right now too. She's adorable. I had a silver timber wolf growing up too. She was adorable too. She use to walk me to school, come back for recesses and lunch to play with us kids and then come back and walk me home. Between all that she would round up neighborhood dogs and walk them around, then take them home. Everybody spoiled my wolf cause she was much more than "just an animal". Then we moved out of state and somebody killed her in our new neighborhood.

Austin Liv, awesome... you and me both. I feed them together so they get along. They get their own bowls but at the same time and uniformly. Feeding time is important when you have a multi pet household. It bonds them together. Then they clean each other and take a nap.

The best is when there is a BIG DOG adopting a tiny kitten. Makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

Is the kitty helping you mix some audio? It looks like a mixer in the pic.

We had a magnum of 2007 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir last night. It was delicious.

No SR Only, that's the keyboard to the computer actually. He does help with the mouse if I don't pay him enough attention though.

I've had the pleasure of the company of some extraordinary cats & dogs. I enjoy the differences. I probably lean slightly towards cats only in that...you don't "own" them. They like you...or they don't. If they don't like you, they won't stay.

I would echo the sentiment against small "dogs." If it doesn't come up to - at least - your knees, please call it something else. A dog it is not...

I love dogs, especially big ones..However I have 2 cats ( because that's what my child wanted)..I wasn't keen on having cats at first, but they've grown on me and turned me into a bit of a cat person now...

And you stay that thin?? Hope it was a great evening!

Cat person here. I had one cat for 17 years and he traveled all over North America with me. He finally got tired of Delta Pet Express and spent his retirement at my sister's, with 78 acres and two other cats. He was the James Dean of kitties. All black, super cool and intelligent. If he didn't like someone, I knew to pay attention.

I got bit by a German shepard who was trained by the army when I was three and I gave dogs a wide berth my whole childhood, but I have met some very cool canines and have an 11 year old boxer who adores me. When I am visiting her owner Stella has to be lying on some part of my body all the time, and when she visits my place she knows right where the doggie treats are kept! So I guess that more than the species, it's the individual animal you connect with, just like people.

But face it; cats are way less work and are very cuddly.

Yeah, lucky with the metabolism. It was a fun evening. Even the little people who were around enjoyed it and most made it to midnight.

You're tracking...that's where I was going with that. I would have gone with "ankle-biters"....but that's taken.

While I prefer cats.... With a little more land & a lot less travel, I could easily be persuaded to run a home for wayward Huskies, Samoyeds, & Malamutes. I love those breeds! Very intelligent...very laid back...just great, great dogs!
