Furthermore, as I have discussed on many occasions with our community, we carefully explored all options open to us. We might have achieved short-term litigation victories, but not without incurring deeper long-term damage—the likely loss of future federal funding, the possibility of losing accreditation, and the potential revocation of visa status of thousands of international students.

Did you read the article. This is what makes this extortion.

With the agreement, our access to billions of dollars in federal research funding will resume. Terminated grants will be reinstated and our faculty will become eligible again for future grants, as well as continuations of existing grants. Not only will this resolution restore Columbia’s ability to fully participate in its longstanding federal research partnerships, but it also will ensure critical continuity for faculty, students, and staff across every discipline—many of whom have seen years, even decades, of progress toward medical and scientific discoveries placed at risk. I’ve received an outpouring of relief from our scientists in recent days as they started to learn that restored grant funding will allow their vital work to continue.

Where does the money go? Is it going to the students whose civil rights were violated? Tothe US Dept of .education, which is being dismantled as we speak? Does it pay for golf?

Seems like Harvard has the right idea, telling Trump to fuck off.

That's right in your view the Jews don't have any civil rights...it baffles me you don't comprehend that they paid up so they wouldn't loss that precious money from the gumment!!! You and all those on the left are kings of defending the indefensible. Your post shows you're antisemitic views. You should see if you can join the "squad" they are the epitome of radical left...you would fit right in. You say...where does the money go...do you know what a gumment grant is?? Obviously, you don't...SMFH!!

Holy Cow, Columbia pays out $221 million in a settlement to the Jewish staff students janitors... of course they're not anti-semitic at all. They were protesting for Hamas, a loveable association of concerned citizens...who couldn't love that bunch of anti-oppressers?
