No, the national retail avg price of a dozen eggs was NOT $5.12 "as of June 3".

That was the average price for the month of April. It was contained in the April Consumer Price Index report released by the BLS way back on May 13. The CPI data for the month of May will be released next Wednesday, June 11.

So you're way behind the 8-ball. And flat-out wrong. Go back and re-read your own usatoday link (and open the USDA hyperlink).

What's puzzling to me is how you could be this sloppy when I just showed you a FinanceBuzz link (in post #369) putting the average US retail price of a dozen eggs at $3.64 as of May 26th.

This is what I meant when I said I'll keep proving you and tommy empirically WRONG.

At this point, it's abundantly clear that they're not paying attention. Otherwise, they'd realize that eggs are more expensive now than they were when JV made that stupid grocery store campaign stop.
