I got a call on my hobby phone from the same number, I believe, about 2 years ago. I didn't answer and nothing happened. The number was to the U.S. Marshals' Office in downtown Dallas.

It's better than someone trying to blackmail calling themself a so-called cartel member and sending pics of dead guys. That happened about 3 months ago to me on my hobby phone. The time before that, it seemed like a pimp trying to blackmail.

That number is a AT&T landline with a female name with five different aliases.
I would ignore the troll comments. They are most likely posting from under their bed.
I would research any ladies you are wanting to see.
Google their stage name abd the word escort.
All their information plus reviews will appear.

OP, No major police station will waste resources on this. Cops are too lazy for this unless your a big fish and even then, they have the ability to trace your non-burner # to your home and show up.

Use a burner number and stop answering from #s you don't know. Send them to voicemail. An actual officer will leave a message with their name, department and direct deskline extension. Any generic "this is Dallas PD" with no other identifiers is bullshit.


Personally I have been involved in non-hobby, non-criminal incidents where a cop had to contact me and vice versa. They will always provide contact info that has their desk line and even email or some other method of identifying them. Some have dedicated cell numbers but its usually on their card or email signature.

Courthouses don't call. They send letters.
And then they can call (usually a clerk) if you have been notified of any pretrial motions (for a case you know of) or are being subpoenaed. They don't say "you're in trouble" cmon.... use common sense here.
