Phone call from court house
Received a phone call from 214-653-5820. said I am in trouble, he claimed to be Dallas court house, said a girl is in custody and I text her last week.
I told him he is a scam. he replied they will issue a warrant on me.
Am I in trouble?

Did you ask them how much $ they want in Amazon or iTunes gift cards to buy them off?
They can spoof any number to show up on your caller ID nowadays.
I've even received calls with my own cell phone # showing up on my cell phone caller ID as the caller.
Of course I did not answer. It went to voice mail and they didn't leave a message.
Did they really think if someone sees their own phone # on their caller ID, they will answer the phone call faster?

It’s a scam attempt. They won’t call you to tell you they are issuing a warrant. They will show up at your door with the warrant.
Last year some scammers took in over $300k spoofing the Tarrant County DA’s office phone number. Told guys if they didn’t send them money they were going to bust them for calling on ads for prostitutes.
Now every scammer is trying to pull the same trick. Just block them and move on.

They're reaching out so they don't have to get a warrant. He's made it worse now! The police got him on something. He needs a lawyer asap.

You do realize prostitution is a felony in texas now? So I'd be shitting bricks.
For the op......
Get a lawyer. Dummy up. Change phones and phone numbers. Have your lawyer on call 24/7.

Wd is trolling. Remember, with the invention of IP based phone systems, anyone can spoof the caller ID and calling number to read whatever they want.
If you're a suspect in illegal activity, LEO will never call you as a first contact over something like this. They show up, in person, with their badges.

The number could and may be real!
Detectives do call numbers on confiscated devices. This guy should be concerned! Being anything else would be naive
