A very classy lady in her day. But, drugs and alcohol will follow you forever. I really feel sorry for her family hope, I know, they will get through this tragedy. She was a great singer for sure.

Hopefully her daughter will be okay. Reports are that she's extremely upset(hopefully no one is giving her anything to calm her down). From what some are saying she was more the adult in the situation and did a lot of things to try to keep her mother on track. Pretty scary when Bobby Brown going there to be the calming influence and the voice of reason.

I believe you meant jackoffs, and yes I do unfortunately during lean and lonley times. Sigh..discussions with celeb worshippers is a waste of time.

My 2 cents...do I have direct sympathy for Whitney. No, we live in a society, in general, that always looks for excuses for the individual decisions (or lack there of) we make. That's merely not being man/woman enough to take a hard look into the mirror, and see what really is looking back at ya.

In most cases (other than unfortunate health issues not related to our life style choices) good or bad, we are who we make ourselves to be. Some of us are lucky enough to be born in the right situations that make those right choices a hell of a lot easier than it is for others. But ultimately our worse enemy, typically becomes ourself.

But is this a sad situation, IMO yes it is. There are different types of sad or unfortunate situations. Someone mention about the child with brain tumor...heart breaking sad, without question.

But to see someone who self destructed, based upon her own personal horrible choices. Yea, that is a different type of saddness ...does not mean I have any sympathy for her.

Sadly this stuff happens every day. Whitney's only difference is we watched it develop b4 our eyes. Doesn't make her death sadder, than those that will die a similiar death, tonight, right here in KC. Only difference is our awareness of it.

I wish we lived in a world that was black and white...ie right or wrong. But in most cases, life consists of different shades of gray. But without question, normally our own choices results in which shades of gray we live in.

I'd hardly call it celebrity worship, it's called not speaking ill of the dead. The anonymity of the internet swells the itty-bitty balls of some of you jag-offs. When she was alive, I had just as many crack cocaine, and free-base jokes as the next man, but, death requires a cessation. I won't say that she was an angel, but i won't go out of my way to slander her any further, or any other person, for that matter. She's paid her debt, the ultimate debt, mind you. All that's really appropriate now, regardless of how she lived, is Rest In Peace, so give it a rest....... To put it in context for those who can't see beyond the tips of their dicks, give her the same respect that you gave to girl who was killed on I-29.

So does porn..

Not having sympathy is not slander. Saying she was a drug user who created her own situation is not slander. And I haven't figured out how to jag-off, with or without a hyphen.

Sounds like your itty bitty balls are swelled to capasity. But regardless no one here is saying anything disrepectful of her by saying that they have no sympathy for her, no one has called her a name, no one has even said she deserved it, thats speaking ill of the dead. Just because someone has a position different than yours does not mean they have to change it because you say so, so please you give it a rest. As for the girl killed on 1-29, that person had personal relationships and shared experiences in other words a connection. Houston sang songs. Its only her celebrity that causes you to speak out like this because I sure dont recal you speaking out for the no ones who die everyday of drug abuse nor do I remember the same sermone you just recited. To put it in contect for those who cant see past the dick in their mouth, i houston was a crack ho on monroe street you could care fucking less. The only person who has been disrepectful in this thread up to this point has been you 9, your the one with the name calling and attack stance.

I meant jag-offs, but your cultural experience would have to be broader than hayrides and weekend trips to the Ozarks in the Winnebago to see your sister, Uncle-Daddy, to know that....

And Dirty, Dirty, Dirty, I'd just voted for you, and this is how you reward me.... You know, for a man who claims not to have them, you're really defending the itty-bitty ball crowd quite vigorously. LOL. You say you have no sympathy, yeah, we all know. Although we may aspire to be, all of us can't be the tattoo covered, sex-machine, 600lbs of walking, talking, typing(still w/o spell check too - I know, spell check is for nerds and geeks), ball-shriveling, shoot 'em, toot 'em, kick-ass known as Da Dirty Dawg that we've all come to know and love. LOL. When you start creating threads about the crack whores on Monroe, I'll comment. And why must you continuously remind us that you don't pay, directly, that is, anymore? Remind us how it is that you were introduced to this hobby-related board, and the preceding ones too. I really wish that you'd start referring to yourself in third person: The Dirty Dog does not have sympathy. LOL. Until then...... And NO, I will not meet you outside, or at your shop, for a bout of pugilistic fisticuffs. ROTFLMAO! Ah, Good Times!!!

The OP tried to make this thread a tribute thread(my assumption), and instead, it was immediately hit with the old, tired, redundant, "I'm tougher than nails" and "Who gives a shit" lines from the usual suspects in the "Billy-Bad-Ass" line-up.

Death, no matter whose it is, is one of those times when one should take the advice from the old adage, "If you've nothing good to say, then say nothing".

Amen, Now let's sing hymn number 87, Blessed be the Tie that Binds, hold a benediction, and get the hell outta here. The Game's on at 1:00. Yes, Dirty, you must hold hands....... LOL.

I hope that I put it in contect for you as i have completed my sermone to the largest capasity crowd that i can recal.

Name calling, insults, and you want to attack others' cultural experience?
Ozarks and winnebago, sister-daddy? Sounds intelligent.
