there are also webhosting sites that are template based which gives you a lot of control for changing you content or photos.

Moonfruit.com is one and is hosted in the UK. Several providers use them.

Because its free for a basic site, Tacky or not is just an opinion. Don't be so judgmental, ES a great and easy introduction for a new lady with minimal computer skills or cash to enter into the business.
