So was I but I haven't had one! Yet...

I did have a boyfriend offer to give me a Mercedes if I stayed with him but I was so over him that it wouldn't have mattered if he offered $5 million. When it's over it's over and I wasn't that into him anyway.

I wanted to help put her in position to not have to do anything she didn't want to do. At the time, I owned a car dealership and had more cars than I could count and plenty of money so it wasn't a big deal. And yes, I paid the tax, title, and license also. Never heard from her again.
That's shocking of the lady but so lovely for you!

I particularly feel for this post because a friend of mine in England is in desperate need of a car (not least to get another job as a teacher) and she has an extremely rich brother who will do nothing for her.

I don't think family members are obligated to GIVE their wealth away but you might expect a little compassion - and help. At least a loan.

It reminds me of Madonna's brother who's been homeless and on the streets for 2 and a half years.

Personally I would love a gift of a more advanced digital camera, is that what started you off as a photographer?
I actually started as a photographer and became a provider.... picked it up again full time upon retiring .... the cellar is missed greatly, LOL!

I am loving the generosity that still remains out there! It is very touching

I generally tip. My tip generally reflects what the average discount is from those who do give discounts. But I do not like to give cash, so the lady gets an item I bought specifically for her. She probably doesn't care, though, because I'm getting a pig in a poke. I've never met the lady, so I have no idea about her likes and dislikes.

I did have one (regular) client who paid me partly in gift cards once, I thought that was really cheeky of him to do. But that was just before the Xmas before the last and I gave the Barnes and Noble card to a friend I particularly appreciated (and I would have loved to have used that one myself), and kept the American Express one for myself.

So to get to the point - I do think gift cards could be a fun way to gift someone you don't know too well.

I've usually mentioned on my websites that I love good wine and champagne so it's been easy to please me that way.
That's the difference. I'm not in one place long enough to become a regular client, and I don't expect the benefits a regular client tends to get. But I do believe in getting a small gift for most ladies who agree to see me. By "small," I mean along the lines of an out-of-pocket expense which might be similar to a P411 discount by those ladies who do offer them. And I do get the gift regardless of whether or not the lady offers a discount.

I pay no attention to "gift" or "wish list" pages. In my experience, those lists tend to equal or exceed the lady's minimum rate. That's like paying twice the fee for BCD. This is a business for the hobbyist as well as the lady, and doing this is just sheer monetary madness.

Aw come on, isn't madness so much fun once in a while?

Sometimes - personally - it's just great to spend some crazy money just because USUALLY you never do. But the exceptions can feel so good.

A client ( this was during the holiday season a few years back offered me a thousand dollar tip) rather than take that, I asked him to go to a website where I volunteered for a cat adoption clinic, and asked him if he wouldn't mind putting the tip to good use there. He agreed, using the Paypal form, and the next day my boss screamed" THAT TAKES CARE OF OUR FOOD FOR A MONTH HERE!!!!!!" she was ecstatic. She knew what I did for a living so I told her it was a generous client. She winked and said " Good job. He knows good pussy when he has it." And we laughed about that for a long time.

That's wonderful! And so generous of you! I adore my cat and really relate to that, was thinking of volunteering but haven't gotten around to it.

Another great gift I forgot to mention...there have been so many generous clients. This one was fantastic. It was a three-day getaway at the Doral Saturnia Spa in Florida. And you know that wasn't cheap. He paid for my airfare and everything, and of course he didn't come, this was just for me...airfare was included with this special 'gift' . It was a Christmas present. Sadly, this client of mine ( more like a friend than anything else) passed away several years ago. When I got to my room, he had paid for a huge package of spa products, and the spa menu included daily massages, facials, and other treatments.

But on my website I say I'd rather have clients donate to cat and animal rescue things So Leah yes, as a cat lover, I just tell guys...donate to my favorite animal. If they say they hate cats well, the Humane Society and the SPCA has lots of dogs!! LOL
