				 Hobbying during a Recession

Ladies: Do you still manage to receive good business from clients during the recession? Would you tour to different cities if your area started lagging in business? Also, if all the providers in your area lowered their rates to adjust to slower times..would you also make adjustments?

Guys: Do you see yourself hobbying less because of the recession? Do you just stick with only your ATFs & take less chances on a new provider? Also, if you noticed that most of the providers lowered their rates in your area..would you still be tempted to spend more money on a provider that you were interested in?

If your target clientele is hurt by the recession you may have to do these things.
But the "We're in a recession, you should lower your rates" is a nonstarter.

Tend to only see proven or favorite providers during this time. Haven't really noticed a price decrease in my favorite providers.

During these times I have noticed less adventure looking for new providers.Sticking with small circle of providers and also catching lower rates from them.

Yes, I hobby less. But there are other factors. Opportunity. Money. Providers that entice me.
Were there more provider who posted, I'm sure there would be more that enticed me.

My business is largely immune from business cycles. It doesn't effect me.

I started in this recession. I actually started in January, the worst month of the year. I started at a higher rate with no problems. Key is how you market yourself. I made Really good money in my first month.
I do run specials sometimes for quick cash because I want to buy something out of my ordinary goal money and well its a business. I run fun specials, most businesses do. It works for me, I make steady money, get good clients and can stay low volume. I also know not everyone can afford my rate so my specials allow some gents to see me, I know they are good guys but their budget is $200-$250. I give intensives to prebook as well. I dont run specials because Im slow, there is always a strategic plan behind it. lol I do tour but is because I like the travel and knowing I wont know them like I might a local.

When I run my specials usually I make the same/more money as if I never offered a special and I didnt have to increase my volume either. So its a win, win.
Also this business seems to run in the same cycle as restaurants. It will be slowest in August/January. (In NY anyways)

That's really a shame. You've been on my "todo" list for some time, but I only do outcalls. And although I'm not in LR right now, it's a distinct ppossibility business will take me there.

as a hobbyist, while being blasted by this recession- I find myself more apt to be looking for UTR ladies....I don't negotiate with ladies who have a reputation and a posted rate....
yet I will look for ladies who might be in a situation where we can work something out....

I look at it as I have nothing to lose, so why not?

Recession, what recession? A recession is when your neighbor is without a job. A depression is when you are without a job To be honest, I have not been impacted at all by the downturn in the economy, so my hobby habits haven't been affected. Actually, I'm hobbying a bit more now (has nothing to do with the economy). As for providers I would see, that too hasn't been impacted by the economy. Since I research and don't see a provider unless she is well known or well reviewed, I don't go for the "BP only" girls. Although, I do peruse the BP ads, and I have noticed a lot more "newbie" providers out there. Now, I can't say with certainty, but I wonder if when times get tough, some women resort to being escorts to help with the cash flow.
