the bottom line is Jay-z wasn't "denied" anything. and his past criminal record is public knowledge and does cast some shade on how desirable of a neighbor he and Queen B would be. the neighbors cited the entourage Jay-Z and Queen B would bring, and this is a valid concern. many times celebrities of any color have an attitude of importance and their security has often acted over-zealously.


i can see Jay and the Queen's entourage "blocking" others from using the elevator while the royal couple is in it. arrogant if not quite .. racist.

He is also missing a larger point. That black guy likely got into medical school with a lower MCAT and overall score than some hardworking Asian.

So the Asian student could have ended up at a foreign school and benefited a different country than the United States, thereby lessening the quality of teaching medical care facilities in the United States in the pursuit of "social justice".

Good students make good schools - lower quality students make for lower quality schools. Then, on average, they likely become lower quality Doctors. (though he could make up for it by working hard in an economically depressed urban area and truly caring for and serving the best interests of his patients)

Now, I can see the argument for affirmative action/diversity/quotas, but it is not without other costs.
