Been tangentially associated with the track in multiple capacities for decades.(no....not as a guy who scrambles for a picnic table) Also have decades of retired/current LEO friends with multiple agencies.

While emphasis is on crowd control and safety this week----there are "side initiatives" multiple agencies have on their radar. (and not necessarily ICE initiatives) The State and NYRA do not want any negative headlines for the event. Especially since Belmont may return again next year.

That said may be it is a good week to avoid new encounters or TGTBT ads for a few days. More to it-- but don't want an infraction. (which I am still trying to figure out the infraction rules)

Funny that ICE goes after Harvard students/professors - but they are not raiding the track (not to mention all the landscape companies in Saratoga). Seems like a target rich environment to me.

As I understand, it, ice is after human trafficking, (Staff edit), arms, dealers, and really anyone with criminal activity that’s here illegally. If you happen to be around a person like that and get caught up in the crossfire, even if you haven’t done anything wrong as an illegal immigrant you’re still getting deported because you’re an illegal immigrant and you did that wrong.

Ice doesn’t have the resources to go after 15 million capable fighting age men that crossed over the border illegally during the previous idiot’s administration. They have to target their resources. Thus, I doubt the Mexicans, who are sealing your driveway and working at the Belmont steaks are at any risk so long as they aren’t around any criminals.

Kind of a silly statement, considering they are technically criminals themselves, no?

I would recommend you do the same considering the fact that entering this country without proper documentation and permission, including staying, is in fact breaking the law. However, ICE and this administration has made it clear that they are after hard criminals and if innocent illegals happen to be in the orbit of these bad actors, they are out too. Why? Because it’s against the law to be here, ILLEGALLY. They aren’t specifically targeting illegals who have committed any violent or serious crimes.

Because I do it in my car driving and if you’re texting and driving, you’re asking for more trouble than getting busted with solicitation. I also don’t particularly like cruising around on Eccie at home. I’m not sure what’s so difficult to understand about that.

If my statement and what the administration is doing doesn’t make sense to you, im not surprised. Most libs have blinders on and can’t see the forest through the trees. My previous post on this stands on its own. If you don’t understand it, there’s no point in discussing it further.

15,000,000 illegals entered this country under the Biden administration. ICE can’t get them all. It’ll take quadruple the time to get every single one of them out than it did them coming here. So, you have to focus your efforts on the ones committing terrible crimes. If someone happens to here illegally and is in the orbit of these hardened criminals that ICE is after and gets busted, so be it. They go too.

I’m not sure why that’s so hard to grasp unless you are just trying to look smart and using semantics.

Nowhere in my comment did I express my opinion on the immigration problem. All I was doing, was pointing out a contradiction in the post that you had.

The OP said something about ICE raids - I was just musing that the track would be a good target - since I am guessing that a fair number of seasonal workers might be illegal.

I was not passing judgement on ICE nor did not mean to trigger a debate about immigration policy - my apologies.

I am totally prepared to have that debate (without blinders I assure you) - but this is not the place.

Well considering the Office of Homeland Security estimates there are 11-12 million illegal immigrants TOTAL, you might want to think about the fact that 98% of them put food on your table and provide services that most Americans are too lazy to do. They build your homes, mow your lawns, suck your dicks, and I could go on and on. The irony is that most of these folks are good hard working people and not breaking the law on a regular basis like so many of us. Don’t be a clown. If anything, Melania Trump broke the law entering the US. Deport her ass. But any idiot who supports the orange turd is on the wrong side of history. You can’t go on a hooker site and bitch about hard working people.

The fact is that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than legal immigrants, who commit fewer crimes than those who are native born. This is solely an attempt by the orange turd to find someone to blame and to further divide us.
