I use eccie.net, but I just found an eccie.com.


Are they the same with different interface? is one a phishing site?

• eccie.net - Full Web version
• m.eccie.net - Mobile version

eccie.com has been on the web for a while, but is not affiliated in any way with Eccie.net.
Our best guess is that it is a phishing site trying to gather User Names and Passwords.

I just noticed eccie.com yesterday too, and assumed it was malicious. The first record of it on archive.org in it's current form is from June 2024. Before that, the domain went thru several phases of errors and default web server landing pages. For a brief time in 2017, it redirected to eccie.net. From 2002-2017, it was a website for CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert) It's current IP is 77.245.56.30. According to maxmind's database, that IP is hosted in the US. According to arin.net, the IP belongs to a hosting company named AMS-WEBAIR.


Surprisingly, Eccie.net's IP is 77.245.56.25 which also belongs to AMS-WEBAIR! That doesn't mean the .com version isn't managed by different people though. I will continue to assume it's malicious unless eccie.net's management claims ownership of it.
