Hello, just wanted to let everyone know I am back in Dallas. I have a lovely town house that is 1.3 miles from White Rock Lake. I'd love to see some old friends and meet some new ones! I'm also mobile and love to drive my new little red sports car.

It's an old Springsteen song from one of his early albums. Sounds a lot better live than it does on the album. This is from the his legendary first concert in England. Guess E street got a little carried away that night and turned it into a sixteen minute jam.

Love that album. E-Street Shuffle and Rosalita are the highlights, but I like the short (at 7 minutes) version of Kitty just fine. Pretty much all of Springsteen/E-Street Band’s live performances were better than the studio versions. Poor Bruce was said to be insufferable in the studio trying to achieve perfection, when really all he needed to do was trust the energy they had with their live shows.

Wild, Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle admittingly was a hard album for me to get into when I started my Springsteen fandom, and it wasn't until I got to the adult side of high school before I could appreciate it, but it does have some of my favorite songs by him on there. The problem with those albums were that they were recorded in a crappy studio by a crappy engineer and producer who saw him as a Dylan type folkie. Which he wasn't, never was, and didn't want to be. But I love Greetings from the first listen and love it to this day. That version (the original) of Blinded By The Light is a great contrast to the Manfred Mann cover. Just wish we can go back in time and tell him to hire Glyn Johns or someone like that. Those guys just didn't know how to record him.

Sorry, guys. Been a Springsteen fan since 10th grade, so I can go on all day!
