ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
Way to early, but the reports aren't quite adding up already.
Kristi Noem
“Officers were out in enforcement action,” Noem said during a press conference in Brownsville, Texas. “They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle, and a woman attacked them, and those surrounding them, and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle. An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him, and my understanding is that she was hit and is deceased.”
Not sure how long this will be up and be advised it shows the actual shooting.
Not sure it supports Noem's description....nor Noem claim of 'domestic terrorism'

Maybe jumping to conclusions, but this ICE statement doesn't fit with the video any more than Noem's 'push out the vehicle'...
“One of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.”

I wonder how ICE agents would feel if citizens shot them in the head if they drove within a few feet of them...in self defense of course. Never mind they were just driving through an intersection you're waiting to cross. In fact, that would put their vehicle closer to you on the curb than her car was to the shooter...

Used to be it's always California that has no respect for authority and Fucks Around and Finds Out.
Now it's Minnesota.
That woman drove forward barreling toward an ICE agent.
The shooting was justified.
Next time any of you go out driving, try driving forward barreling toward a Dallas Police Officer, a Plano Police Officer, A Dallas County Sheriff Deputy, a Irving Police Officer, etc etc
See what will happen to you.
That ICE agent acted the same way a Police Officer would act when their lives are in danger and they also have even more authority than a Police Officer because they are Federal Agents.
Finally when a law enforcement official, city, county, state, federal, orders you out of your vehicle, you get out, you don't argue, you don't keep asking what did I do.
YOU COMPLY.
By NOT COMPLYING you are ESCALATING the situation and making things worse.
If you feel you been mistreated or that you shouldn't had been stopped, take it up in court.
The street or the road side is not the time nor the place to hold court.
Furthermore, Law Enforcement officers have a tough and dangerous job as it is.
They don't know who you are when they stopped you. By being belligerent and not complying with their LAWFUL ORDERS, they don't know what you intend to do.
Are you on something? Is that why you are not complying? They (the officers) have no way to know what your state of mind is or if you are under the influence of something.
Are you armed, is that why you are belligerent? They (the officers) also have no way to know if you are armed.
Is your state of mind and you being armed going to be a threat to the officer? They also don't know that.
At the end of the day, they just want to do their job, finish their shift unharmed and go home to their families just like you want to go home at the end of your 4 hours shift working as a barista at Starbucks or stocking shelves at the Dollar General
or for many today, at the end of a 18 hour shift sitting behind a screen using the internet, complaining about President Trump and bad mouthing the government and wishing you were in a better place like Iran or North Korea.

You have no idea whether this shooting was justified. Absolutely none.
You could maybe wait for the ACTUAL facts to come out here. But I know that MAGA fealty demands that objectivity be ignored.

Very small pov on the action.
Turning out to be a shit town of speculation.
What is not explained is why a guy, with no official plate, wearing a mask, no identification, is blocking the road.
A person is shown driving around him.
Another person is shown being approached by someone who has a mask. Have no identification. I'll stop there since *I* wouldn't stop for a stranger with a gun. And they tried to drive around the above mentioned person blocking the road.
A poster above me incorrectly states the driver was "barreling" towards the person standing in the road. It is clearly apparent they were driving around them BECAUSE if they were driving directly towards them, they would have had the front windshield shot out.
These incidents are rising and people are showing their frustrations, as in the video.
This is what happens when you don't involve local law enforcement into official duties. And no bs response that they are not needed at all or will screw things up.
THIS is a screw up.
Don't be surprised if you find citizens shooting at people who don't identify themselves. Hide their identify. Don't drive official vehicles. Don't have proper documents that justify what they are doing.
A person with two braincells can see the problems with the current HLS actions.

I'd opine it's best for law enforcement not to start an encounter with 'get the f*** out of the car".

the witness had the clearest angle on what was happening. that was not a normal LE operation in the least. this ICE stuff is straight outta the gestapo playbook. it's totally un-American.

The video is black and white. There is no gray area. It is clear what happened... Noem and Trump's statements are a disgrace and typical of this inept administration.

It is clear, harrowingly clear. When you combine what you see with witness statements that she was told both to get out of there and to stop (making compliance actually impossible), you can easily understand her decision to just get away from the lowest and most dangerous (at least for those in the US) level of this government’s ineptitude. It doesn’t look like these guys receive any training.
The result is an utterly unnecessarily orphaned 4-year-old.

And the video clearly shows she was turning AWAY from the officer who PUT himself in front of the car (against policy). It also show he had something in his left hand, that to me looked like maybe he was filming with his camera AFTER his gun was drawn. That doesn't seem to be the action of someone fearing for his life. More like someone wanting footage for his social media of him capping a protester. Or maybe they are getting extra bonus for shit like this for recruiting others.
Another clear fact in the video, while he slapped or was bumped by the car...it was AFTER he had fired the fatal shot. And that shot was fired in very near proximity not only to innocent bystanders, but two of his partners. Fucking untrained, goons given guns and a badge and told they can do anything they want to anyone.

I held off judgment until I saw multiple vids and multiple angles. The vid looks very bad for the shooter, if you watch the full before video and aftermath you'll hear from her wife (who's covered in her partner's blood) that they stopped by to video record ICE action, and when ICE swarmed they got scared and wanted to drive away but were fatally shot instead. There's also a slo-mo video that shows the wheels of the car were already turned away from the foremost ICE officer before he unholstered his weapon, and that he opened fire when he was already outside the driving path of the vehicle. The shooter also just casually strolls away unfazed after the shooting. Cold blooded, but I guess that's why they're called ICE.
