				The Lido?

I think it's called the Lido, on Stemmons near Mockingbird. I've been in there a time or two to buy some odd or end but that's it.

I visit Dallas infrequently but think I'm coming soon. I'm kinda bored with the typical visit to my hotel and am looking to expand the envelope, so to speak. I feel I've read about the "rooms" and that it might be taboo and kinky to visit with a well-versed lady just to had some electricity.

But I don't want to go to a dirty, seedy place with a bunch of guys leering at me. I'm kinda shy and very discrete about this part of my life.

Anyone--guy or gal-who can share any info or opinions about this or even something like this.

Just asking. Thanks.

When you think of going to "The Lido" (sounds gross even when saying it inside my head). Just think of the weight loss commercial where the guy hires the 3 popular jr high girls to help him not eat/do gross stuff.

You: I will go to The Lido tonight.
Girl 1 - Eeeewwww
Girl 2 - Seriously?!?
Girl 3 - That's so gross.

			Barney,

There have been several topics about the Lido in the past and it might be a good idea to do a search and there is a lot of information available.

If you're interested in the room thing, my suggestion would be to go to The New Fine Arts, bring a friend, and use one of those rooms. Squeaky clean but has a REAL naughty (nasty, too!) feel.

And it's inexpensive. You put down a $20 deposit and then once you're in the room, you feed dollars into the movie box (whatever it is called) and you can watch all types of smut while doing the dirty. Then, you get the $20 back.

It would be a fun time with a companion of your choice. I don't think that you would like to stay there for a super long time but it's a cleaner choice than The Lido.

Of course, I've wanted to go to The Lido forever. I would probably find the outright nastiness of the place interesting. At least for one visit!

Have fun!
Elisabeth

I'm laughing a bit and you're probably right. However, much like my curiosity with AMPS, I do have a sincere curiosity about visiting The Lido.

Someday.

Well, I need no more answers concerning the Lido. That is what I thought but wanted to ask.

OK--anyone with any more info about the New Fine Arts place mentioned? Is it fun/clean/kinky or the other way?

There is one on Mockingbird not too far from Love Field and there is another one on Northwest Highway and Shiloh.

If I were to suggest one, go to the one on Mockingbird. It's larger and has an extra room there that is really for gay porn and toys for boys. (That's where I discovered the Tenga brand of goodies)

Not that you're gay, but it's a nice section and well, interesting.

Plus, that location has more bdsm stuff, it's very light, the NFA's isn't really vested in that area much, but there are a few riding crops, outfits and the such. The back rooms are the same for both.

I'm not sure of the hours on Mockingbird but the other one is opened 24 hours.

That's pretty much all that I know at this hour.

I really haven't noticed direct lascivious behavior towards strangers in there but I've always gone either alone, a few times with female friends and a few times with * cough * male friends as well. And when I go alone, it's to purchase something or to look around for a few minutes and leave.

Just for the record, I'm not talking about going to one of these places alone. I'm talking about going with a lady just to push the boundaries of my normal routine. Just gathering some info and sort of thinking out loud.

And going into one of those rooms and doing.....I don't know. Just seems sort of taboo and maybe a turn on. maybe not. I don't know.

Avoid the Lido. Stay out of the sewer and let the rats eat away at each other.

There's another NFA on Northwest Highway, it's a bit off of 35. So depends on which part of town you are in.

I was so scared the first time that I tried to go into one of those rooms, my date and I decided to go in a different direction. But when I finally got up the nerve to go into one, it was a lot of fun ... in that "God, what are we doing?" nasty way.

I kept my shoes on.

well, the Lido Deck on my recent cruise had tons of food and lots of kids running around.
oh, not that Lido!! :^)

anyhoo, do a google search on ["New Fine Arts" dallas] (dont include the brackets) and it'll show you a map where they are [2 on west side of dallas, 1 on east side] and links to the stores.

barney, just guessing..., but it reads like there is one woman in this thread who might like to accompany you.

you might also want to check out this Dallas ISO thread.
