Favorite 5 Video Games

Instead of continuing to hijack Malaya's thread and inspired by the Top 5 Sci-Fi movie thread, here's your chance to list your 5 favorite video games.

~ The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - those who've played it understand.
~ Shadowrun (SNES) - this game introduced me to cyberpunk fiction and is one of the greatest franchises to never receive a worthy sequel.
~ Resident Evil (PlayStation) - this scared me more than any other game I've ever played.
~ Final Fantasy VII (PlayStation) - most emotional gaming moment ever and I spent 80+ hours completing all the side quests to get all the Ultimate Weapons.
~ Marathon (MacIntosh) - Bungie's great thinker of a FPS that preceded their fame with the Halo franchise.

Perhaps not the greatest games of all-time, but 5 that I really enjoyed.

Nice thread. Hard for me to choose, as there's lots of great games.

01 & 02. Final Fantasy III & X (SNES & PS2): Great stories, great characters, great world, great battle system.
03. The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES).
04. Dr. Mario (NES): My sister and I had plenty of fun w/ this one growing up. I can't play against my SO. Unless I hold back. I don't like holding back.
05. Battlefield 3 (PS3): Sure it's the big-budget FPS du jour. But I think I've built my old-school cred to let this one slide in here.

I probably graded these on the same criteria as you. What do I still play today? What will I still play 10 years from now? (That's a lie. I'll play just about any game.)

Again with the only 5 thing. I'll preference this by saying my video game beginning started on an old Packard Bell with games on floppy disk. Wasn't until when the SNES came out that I got my first hand me down NES. So you might not recognize a few.

Lol.... I hate that my kids will never know the screech of a modem! But as far as the games, I made sure one of their first games was duck hunt on Wii! Love that they have made some of the old goodies available on the new systems...
