Per chatgpt -Operating a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and a supporting destroyer on the water for one day costs approximately $7 million to over $8 million, primarily driven by the high operational costs of the carrier.

Why should the United States taxpayers pay $8 million a day to babysit the straight? We didn't have to do that before all this bombing. It seems like a very short-term solution to a very long-term problem - exacerbated by Trump's latest follies. That doesn't make sense to me.

The topic of discussion is what military strategy is likely to succeed in gaining control of the Strait of Hormuz. You claimed to be "educated on the subject"? Evidently not.

That's not actually the topic of the thread. Its just what you want to talk about since Trump failed to end the conflict quickly and Iran's leadership proved more resilient despite Trump supposedly "winning" weeks ago.

The operating costs alone render it ridiculously dumb and unrealistic. There's no need to elaborate any further. It's a non-starter, and it's DOA.
