And anyone who believed he could end the war in Ukraine "in 24 hours" or lower prices "on day one" is a fucking moron. He always makes his voters look like fools, because that's exactly what they are.
Likewise with Iran... anyone who believed him when he said he "won" the war last month has been proven, once again, to be a fucking idiot.
MAGAs are some of the most embarrassing people in human history.

Anyway, Iran didn't "capitulate" and there's been no "progress". Just more lies from everyone involved on both sides.
The Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.
trump gave Iran a "deal" that allows them to charge $2 million for every tanker that passes through. Absolute lunacy. It's like he wants Iran to have nukes or something.

.... Nope, Trump did not give them that deal.
WHERE are you getting yer Bullshit information??

The Iranians have a 10 point plan, and we've agreed to most. I'm not sure there is a lot of 'interpretation' required. Are you getting news that the USA has pushed them to our requirements for a continued cease fire? It would be great to show another perspective other than Iran driving the conversation and terms. The whole reparations is a thing Trumpy n Co. Didn't figure on. IMHO
.
Let's see what happens but my thoughts are that there will not be any agreement in 2 weeks. (Typical Trump deference time frame).
More like a few months and them getting money to let ships pass at 2 million per go is extortion at a minimum.

You’re assuming they’re as rational as you or I. They aren’t. Every decision they make is based on Islam. They don’t give a single fuck how many on either side die as long as it serves Allah.

That's not dissimilar from the logic of Christian Nationalists who praise Heggy for his current Crusade.
But they don't speak for all Christians just like the hardliners you're talking about in Iran don't speak for the majority of Iranians let alone Muslims.

Talk about disingenuous.
Would be a nice history lesson for the board to remind or probably more enlighten how countries such as Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, etc went from predominantly Christian to Muslim and all the deaths, murders, and oppression that followed.
It’s always the same patten. The lefties act as useful idiots to allow Islam to gain a foothold. Once the numbers are high enough it all changes.
But hey keep supporting it.

You disagree with my history lesson? You support that potential outcome?

Christians have been doing the whole "my way or the highway" thing at least as long as Muslims have, Professor History Lesson.
But I'm still confused... we already "won" the war in Iran, right? There was "capitulation" and "progress", right? What am I missing?

Poor JD Vance. Couldn't get anything done after "20 hours of talks" with Iran, and is now heading home with his tail between his legs.
trumpybear having another meltdown about how the Iranians have been treating him vErY uNfAiRLy by not opening the Strait. Issuing a fresh round of threats that he will inevitably TACO out of.
Remember, Dear Leader said we "won" the war over a month ago. How's that been working out?
This is what happens when idiots elect a pig-headed, racist moron who has had everything in his entire shitty life handed to him on a silver platter.
"The art of the deal"
Reading back through the first few pages of this thread this morning has been hilarious.

It's quite interesting that he plans to implement the very blockade he was desperate to prevent Iran from implementing
What a buffoon

Pretty soon he's going to be begging to reimplement sanctions like Bush, Obama and Biden did. Meanwhile the debt clock is spinning like a top ticking up daily with Trump's Stupidity.
Maybe he could drop Melania Documentary dvds on them to make them submit- but that would likely be considered a war crime due to how shitty it is.

He keeps showing his voters how stupid he is, and his voters keep bowing down in deference to his "stable genius". Like absolute fucking imbeciles.

Maybe it's best we don't leave the important decisions up to a demented old racist moron who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
To be clear, no other POTUS has ever fucked things up in the Middle East this badly.

It’s not just that Trump has fucked things up, he’s done it so often he declared bankruptcy six times.
It’s that he’s done so without the buy-in of congress much less the American people. Even Bush did that right after 9/11. The responsibility lies totally with him and his mental capabilities aren’t up to the task.
He’s a deteriorating narcissist who has surrounded himself with yes men and sycophants who are unable to tell him the truth and or stop him from making tragic mistakes.
Here’s what David Brooks said about the situation.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/br...predictability
I think he is spiraling out of control. And I say that in part, and a little psychologically, narcissists tend to disinhibit as they age. And so they get -- they just get more of themselves, which is not a good thing.
…
And the one thing they all said was that they deteriorate. They create a situation around them, when the sycophants have to get more sycophant. Anybody who's reasonable is either dead or gone. And then the urge to dominate, the lust for power becomes drunk. They become drunk on that. And they get more and more daring, more and more out of control, and then you get this spiral.

If the US controls the Strait via blockade, it prevents Iran from implementing an alternate route/toll system. It gives us the ability to allow civilian ships in/out. I assume we'll be protecting and escorting them. We can halt Iranian oil exports without seizing or bombing Kharg Island. Makes sense to me.
