Claire did you initially explain to the guy what had been going on and why you were suspicious? Otherwise you can at least admit if you had been careful with your words and informed fbsm07 of the recent climate, he would have understood you are not prejudice and this thread would most likely not have started.

I explained the recent climate, said that I have to protect myself and said that 'because we have a known douchebag robbing girls, and unfortunately for you, this guy is Persian, and you're very obviously from the Middle East, I will need more personal information from you, because I don't feel like being robbed,' and I was laughing when I said that last part, trying to lighten the mood, being my usual funny self, and to let him know that I didn't necessarily think that he was a danger to me. Could I have phrased it differently? Idk. It's easy for anyone to look at this situation after the fact and say "you should've said this" or "I would've said this instead." Hindsight is 20/20, right?

Every girl on this board aware of the Kingman situation is on high alert. Anyone on the other end of the phone with that particular accent is going to be held suspect until proven to be someone other than Kingman. Does that make me racist? Fuck no, because I'm not refusing to see Middle Eastern clients.

I could see you saying that, and I can now see why he is kind of retracting some of his statements. Cool, it's all out now. Having met Claire on several occasions, I've never found her to indicate any signs of racism. fbsm07 you probably have a right to suspect racism, but in this case I would take her at her word. You just happened along at an inopportune time for your particular accent. Sorry that happened.

How could you find any signs that she might be racist? Are you a minority? No need to answer that I already know the answer. lol

I am and have seen Claire a handful of times non BCD and she always interacts with others. I never had her blow me off or other minorities.

I don't believe she is racist and really shouldn't have to defend her screening methods. If you don't want to be screened, move on. It's really that simple.
