Coed = Entertainment and insightful topics. Review forum = Reviews. Apples and oranges.

But a lot of those posts that you've quoted are about the subject matter of the thread.

I'm unclear what "the proper way to do things" is, and I'm taking my queues from the behavior that I've observed around me. I assume that if the moderators have an issue with it, they will let me know.

Also, your metaphor of puppets dancing on strings is a little out there. Sure, he's being manipulative and coercive, but in the final analysis, everyone seems to be making their own decisions about how or whether to respond.
