President Carter came close with the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. That still stands. Perhaps that should be given major credit for setting the stage for the Gaza agreement.

There certainly is strong potential for a lasting peace with major players in the Middle East ready to develop the area into a nice place to live while making it a vacation destination the way Lebanon used to be.

I am cautiously optimistic.

This, is merely the 1st step .... in a loong process!
There is much to be determined!

Close is good in horseshoes, hand grenades and nukes perhaps. But I don't remember him fairing very well with Iran at the time. Trump pulled off what even Reagan couldn't in the Middle East. Though Reagan did bring Iran to heel for a time and Trump has done that as well.

Possibly because they are smarter (hell will freeze over when a maggie states that) and donny just blatantly just says "give me your $$$$$" by any means possible.
