But that optimism is waning as whoever is left of Hamas turns to killing their own.
That tells us all just what and who Hamas really is. T?heir agenda has very little (or nothing) to do with the betterment of the people living there.

The people should wake up there.
They seem to be better at non-governmental duties. Feed the populace and such. But they definitely have a problem when it comes to non-domestic policy.

I don't recall pResident AutoPen sitting down to the table to sign an agreement with Israel and Hamas, in a third country, nor getting Hamas to release all the hostages and quit shooting people for a day or two.
I think one of those small single serving bottles of champagne is in order at least.
Besides, I thought President Trump was crystal clear on the reaction he might take, if'n Hamas does not take this golden opportunity to straighten out and fly right.
I recall something about grinding their bones into flour, running bulldozers over the entire area and building parking lot's for all the new hotels, shopping centers and casinos.

10's of thousands of women and children make for some damn fine pavement base!
Meanwhile, Israel is violating important terms. They are still not allowing aid trucks in the numbers needed, though they are lying about this massively and saying that they are. Several civilians killed yesterday. Trump says nothing. And won't.
Bibi will fuck this up, just watch.

Does anyone remember this particular moment?
Before we declare victory we need to make sure that the actual peace process is successful because we certainly aren’t there yet.

When it comes to the USA and conflicts directly involved in, we are good at getting to the end game. But fail miserably at the follow through. Do have some shining examples though.

Set aside all the efforts of previous US presidents and even the current efforts by President Trump: In the end, the people of Israel want to live without fear of rockets in the night or the grotesque barbarism of Oct 7th. It is now up to the people of Gaza to embrace the current opportunity for a future of peaceful prosperity.
No president can make that happen, Parties outside Gaza can only facilitate the transition. There is a real opportunity present now. The people;e of Gaza themselves must embrace it and make it happen.

Israel continues attacks in Gaza...
Israeli strikes killed at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, Palestinian officials said, according to multiple outlets.
Reuters, citing local medics, reported one airstrike that hit an encampment with displaced families left four dead. A different strike, according to health officials, left five others dead in Khan Younis.

If no president can make that happen as you claim, then are you admitting that Trump is full of shit?
Or are you buying into his Nobel Pece Prize claim?

Trump on 'Truth'
Quote:
"On February 19th, 2026, I will again be joined by Board of Peace Members at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., where we will announce that Member States have pledged more than $5 BILLION DOLLARS toward the Gaza Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts, and have committed thousands of personnel to the International Stabilization Force and Local Police to maintain Security and Peace for Gazans. Very importantly, Hamas must uphold its commitment to Full and Immediate Demilitarization. The Board of Peace will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History, and it is my honor to serve as its Chairman,"
"The Board of Peace has unlimited potential. Last October, I released a Plan for the permanent end to the Conflict in Gaza, and our Vision was unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council. Shortly thereafter, we facilitated Humanitarian Aid at record speed, and secured the release of every living and deceased Hostage. Just last month, two dozen distinguished Founding Members joined me in Davos, Switzerland, to celebrate its official formation, and present a bold Vision for the Civilians in Gaza, and then, ultimately, far beyond Gaza — WORLD PEACE!"
